"Can't you understand what's happening here?
Don't you see what's happening?
Potter isn't selling. Potter's buying!
And why? Because we're panicky and he's not.
That's why. He's picking up some bargains."
— George Bailey from It’s A Wonderful Life
Dear friend,
If you’re smart like Mr. Potter in the 1946 Christmas classic It’s A Wonderful Life, and you’re actively playing in the increasingly lucrative Buyer’s Market, than it truly is a wonderful life. But if you’re not, Why not?
The home-buying market hasn’t been this favorable in more than a decade. Interest rates and selling prices are at record lows, while your choices of home types and locations have never been better with today’s overstocked inventory. And don’t believe everything you read in the papers: Most banks are still lending and the FHA is still insuring.
Case in point: Right now, in Cleveland there’s a four-bedroom, 1,600-square-foot home for sale at 2016 West 98 Street. The home is listing at $7,900. No, that’s not a typo. There isn’t a third zero missing. Sure, the home requires some work, but what home doesn’t? Besides, for the price of a used car – say a 2002 PT Cruiser with 90,000 miles to be exact – you now can buy a four-bedroom home, pay it off in a day and live there forever, or perhaps use it as a second income source and collect rent to the tune of $600 per month or more for decades!
Just as important: This is just one of thousands of basement bargains I can lead you to.
Already have a home and don’t want to buy and rent a second? OK, but are you against moving to a similar-size home in a much better neighborhood for a smaller monthly payment? Or how about paying the same monthly mortgage and having twice the square footage? Both of these also are very possible, but only if you get some of your money from underneath your mattress and get in the game – before it’s over.
Follow Potter’s path – see the market situation for exactly what it is: The real-estate opportunity of a lifetime!
